Twenty races.
I am not limiting how many miles or what type of races, other than official ones. The goal is to complete them. It comes out to just fewer than two races a month.
I've been busy signing up for races and plotting them out.
So,here are the races I have planned for, registered for, and/or am keeping an eye out for:
January
Predictions and Resolution 5K (January 1)--ran it! One down, 19 to go!
Al Lewis 10 Miler (January 9)--maybe?
JFK 20K (January 16)--maybe?
February
GW Marathon Birthday Relay (February 14)--registering...it's also the race that Mark proposed to me at 12 years ago! And yes, Mark's running one of the legs of the relay!
March
B&A Half Marathon (March 7)--thinking about it!
St. Patrick's 8K (March 14)--registered!
National Half Marathon (March 20)--registered!
April
Cherry Blossom 10 Miler (April 11)--I got in via the lottery!! :)
May
Cleveland Marathon (May 16)--registered!
June
ZOOMA Annapolis Half Marathon (June 6)--thinking about it!
July
Rockville Twilight 8K (July 17)--thinking about i!
August
Annapolis 10 Miler (August 29)--waiting to register
September
Parks Half Marathon (September 12)
October
Boston Half Marathon (Oct. 10)--fingers are crossed--registration opens in the spring!
Baltimore Half Marathon (Oct. 16)--registered!
Marine Corps 10K (Oct. 31)--thinking about it!
November
NYC Marathon (Nov. 7)--so I registered for the lottery again..I will find out in April if I got in again!
Philly Marathon (Nov. 21)--thinking about it! I loved it last year! Jon, you up for it again?
Turkey Trot 10K (Nov. 25)--this will be our fifth year or so of doing this race! Mark and I love it!
December
Jingle Bell 10K (Dec.)--never a favorite to get out of bed for but a great one for December! Who can resist the jingle bells for each foot????
Emerald Nuts Midnight Run New Year's Eve in Central Park (Dec. 31)--not sure it will happen, but sure seems fun! And what a way to end my 2010 year of running!
