Amy's Plan

Twenty races.

I am not limiting how many miles or what type of races, other than official ones. The goal is to complete them. It comes out to just fewer than two races a month.

I've been busy signing up for races and plotting them out.

So,here are the races I have planned for, registered for, and/or am keeping an eye out for:

January
Predictions and Resolution 5K (January 1)--ran it! One down, 19 to go!

Al Lewis 10 Miler (January 9)--maybe?

JFK 20K (January 16)--maybe?

February
GW Marathon Birthday Relay (February 14)--registering...it's also the race that Mark proposed to me at 12 years ago! And yes, Mark's running one of the legs of the relay!

March
B&A Half Marathon (March 7)--thinking about it!

St. Patrick's 8K (March 14)--registered!

National Half Marathon (March 20)--registered!

April
Cherry Blossom 10 Miler (April 11)--I got in via the lottery!! :)

May
Cleveland Marathon (May 16)--registered!

June

July

August

September
Parks Half Marathon (September 12)

October
Boston Half Marathon (Oct. 10)--fingers are crossed--registration opens in the spring!

Marine Corps 10K (Oct. 31)--thinking about it!

November
NYC Marathon (Nov. 7)--so I registered for the lottery again..I will find out in April if I got in again!

Philly Marathon (Nov. 21)--thinking about it! I loved it last year! Jon, you up for it again?

Turkey Trot 10K (Nov. 25)--this will be our fifth year or so of doing this race! Mark and I love it!

December
Jingle Bell 10K (Dec.)--never a favorite to get out of bed for but a great one for December! Who can resist the jingle bells for each foot????

Emerald Nuts Midnight Run New Year's Eve in Central Park (Dec. 31)--not sure it will happen, but sure seems fun! And what a way to end my 2010 year of running!

Stay tuned to see which ones I do and

  1. Awesome list! There are definitely some here that I want to join you on ... like the Boston half and Philly! Regardless I'll be there (in person or spirit) to cheer you on! You rock! Good luck!
